Trip to the Marble Arch Caves

I took a trip to County Fermanagh recently and spent an enjoyable day exploring the Famous Marble Arch caves and surrounding woodland.

Some of the Stalactites and a large Cascade

Stalactites and Veils

And more.

The Woodland around the area is excellent.

Streams

And waterfalls were plentiful.

Pignuts were in abundance

Cross-Community day

We were invited to host a cross community Bushcraft Day at our NIBA HQ at Carnfunnock Country Park, by Groundwork NI.
We welcomed a number of Primary School children from both side of the Community to our site and spent an enjoyable day learning about wood carving, Shelter building, Fire Craft, Wild Food, Whistle making and Tracking.
A Very enjoyable day was had by all concerned.

Here's Stuart showing some of the Kids how to use flint and steel with Char cloth.
Thanks to Barbara from Groundwork and to the Adult helpers from the Community group for their input.
